Has anyone ever used a credit repair company and if so do they clearout foreclosures?

- a foreclosure is like a bad investment. the one you made and the one the bank made in you. sorry, buts its the honest truth. hope things get better.
- I am going to assume you are referring to a company who will attempt at removing (without paying off) any negative marks from your credit report. If this is the case, generally these companies work by simply disputing the negative trade lines with the creditors and the credit bureaus. Sometimes this method works and sometimes it doesn't. There are several other tactics they use but don't normally make a dramatic difference. I really doubt they will be able to do anything with a foreclosure. Pretty hard to dispute that one. :)
- Credit Repair companies cannot guarantee to fix VALID entries on your credit report. They show you how to get old and inaccurate information off your report. The other thing they do is tell you to dispute all negative entries and hope the merchant does not respond to the OSCAR inquiry in a timely manner which gets the tradeline removed. If the foreclosure is valid, I doubt you can get it removed because its part of public records. I've bookmarked this site... http://debt.knowledged.info/credit_card.html Hope it all works out
