1. No they are full of poop. They are not legitimate companies, You can do all of your credit repari on your own. They cannot erase any legitimate credit problems. A majority of the time, they will just sell you a stolen social security number so you can start a new credit record. It is not worth paying them for something you can do yourself.
2. When most people think of credit restoration company's they think of disputing with the CRA and yes almost anyone can do that them self. I personal give all of my clients a $5,000.00 line of credit to help them reestablish (now that's something you can't do on your own) as well as work one on one with them to help them with the building blocks of credit scoring, as well as how to deal with collection agencies and etc. If you do look for help find a company that dose more than disputes, I also suggest going to your library to do your research or buy a book, the information you find on line may not always be 100% aaccurate. You can restore your own credit, if you know what your doing. In the 10 years I have been in the finance industry Ive had to spend 10's of thousands of dollars on education and still don't know it all. However, I share the information with my clients for Penny's of what Ive invested in my education. Also I'm not trying to solicit anything just defending my self it's insulting for someone to say that all people in the credit restoration industry are full of poop. I have one of the most rewarding jobs in the world. Helping people!
