1. NO! the only way to repair credit is pay off your debts, keep balances low/number of credits low, and to always pay your bills on time.
2. No. There are scammers out there who will charge you a fee to give you a new social security number with a clean credit history but that is illegal. The only way to repair your credit is to pay your bills on time, don't apply for new credit, and let the negative remarks fall off the report over the years (up to 10 years for bankruptcy). Also check your report to make sure it is accurate.
