Will the Credit Secrets Bible really improve my credit score?
Yeah, so my credit kind of sucks right now due to a lot of bad things in the past - loss of job made it hard to pay bills, etc. I've been doing some research online about bad credit/credit repair and found this book, but before I buy it I'd like to know if anyone has used it or heard of it before. It sounds really good, like it could help me a lot. Any replies would be appreciated.

- honestly, you don't need a book because credit secrets aren't secret at all! i recently bought a house and had a decent credit score for my age but was given tips as to how to improve it! first off, remember things go away. you may have a bad history a few years ago but as you continue paying on time now, they'll see the more recent activity and care about that more! 7 years and you'll have no negatives at all! another thing i didn't know is if you have credit cards with low limits, that actually hurts you. i have one card that i've had for years with an $800 limit and they told me to call and request that it's upped because having a low limit shows a lack of faith. so if you get a higher limit, it will show up as better but the key is not to spend the extra money! also, it helps when you owe less then half the limit. if the limit is 1000, owing 500 or less helps your credit as well! besides that pay on time, try to pay more then the minimum that only covers interest and just wait til the mistakes fall off! best wishes
- Don't waste your money. Suggestion would be to pull your credit reports. You can challenge things online with credit bureaus. If the credit agency doesn't respond it is taken off your report. You can then pay or settle accounts and after paid, challenge again and will come off when credit agency doesn't respond. Be prepared though that when you start this process, you will start getting calls on your old debts...it seems to wake them up. A lot of them will settle for a fraction of what is owed. Then give it some time and challenge it and it'll come off. Is how I cleaned mine up.
- I HAVE NEVER HEARD OF THE CREDIT SECRETS BIBLE. THE BEST THING TO DO IS TO KEEP AWAY FROM CREDIT CARDS. THEY ARE DECEPTIVE AND CAN CAUSE MUCH GRIEF. I KNOW BECAUSE IT HAPPENED TO ME. IF YOU FEEL COMFORTABLE BUYING THE BOOK, GO AHEAD. I WOULD NOT PURCHASE IT MYSELF, BUT THAT IS BECAUSE I THINK IT IS JUST A MONEY MAKER. JUST MY OPINION.
- I haven't used the Credit Secrets Bible before, just heard about it a few weeks ago but I did use a company called Vision Credit Repair. www.visioncreditrepair.com that I found online. It's a ebook and it had a lot of information in it for the price.
