Has anyone heard of or dealt with Lexington Law, a credit repair firm?

I'm looking to repair my credit, but there are so many companies out there with horror rip-off stories. This came reccommended...

  1. Hiring Lexington Law to repair your credit is the equivalent of hiring a known arson for the job of Fire Marshall. They charge a monthly fee (which gives them the incentive to draw out your credit repair as long as they can). They will only dispute a few trade lines per month (meaning it will take a couple years to get your credit cleaned up, if it's cleaned up at all). Their dispute letters look like they were written by an 8 year old (from the letters I've seen). They don't let you see the letters for yourself, meaning they mail off the dispute letters on your behalf (I wouldn't let anyone send anything on my behalf except for my attorney. And then - only if I approved it.) They settled a VERY large class action suit last summer for their business practices. Steer clear of them. I repair credit myself, and I am not trying to pimp out my business on here. Go with who you want. Repair your credit for yourself. Just don't choose those guys. And good luck to you!
  2. We've been with lexington for about a year and from tranunion we had 5 items deleted, experian 4 and equifax 2 we are down to about 5-8 negative items on the credit report im giving them 6 more months to see were we stand and then ill decide if i want to cancell them i just feel that things should go a little bit faster,on the other hand we have a friend that also got his fixed with this ciompany ot took him about a 2 years but he has a excellent credit now.I eould say give it a shot.
