Will the Credit Secrets Bible really improve my credit score?
My credit kind of sucks right now due to a lot of things in the past - lost my job, making it hard to pay bills, etc. I've been doing some research online about bad credit/credit repair and found this book. Before I buy it I'd like to know if anyone has used it or heard of it before. It sounds really good. It might help me out of this mess. Any replies would be appreciated. Actually, having some lines of credit is good for your credit score. (I was told that by a mortgage broker awhile ago.) You don't want to spend too much of your available credit on credit cards, but your score improves each time you make a payment on open accounts.

- The only reason you should need credit is to go to school or buy a house. The less credit you use, the better off you will be. The very best way to get a good credit score is to bank some cash and be on time with your bills. You can also challange your bad credit ratings. The trick with creditors is to get to them before they get to you. Just call them and come clean and see what you can work out. Good luck.
- If you can sort out all your older bills first and try to get them cleared if they are srtill open then that is a start. Make yourself an income and expenditure budget then just keep your cards for buying every day items you need and keep paying them off every monmth, this way you will look trustorthy to recieve further credit for items like a home etc.
