1. Most are scammers, rip-offs. You can repair your credit yourself. You've made a lot of poor choices. Start making GOOD choices and work at this. In 6 months your credit will be improved, in one year it willbe greatly improved. You have to WANT this, and work at it. REPAIR your credit by paying EVERY bill ON-TIME. Pay every bill in full and on-time. Pay twice the minimum due on each credit card. Pay down the higher interest rate credit cards with extra payments. Stop using credit, close out extra cards, pay down all balances. REDUCE your expenditures--asking yourself before each purchase, Is this a Want or a Need? Be aware of what you spend and how you spend it. By every month taking these positive steps, YOU are improving your credit, repairing the damage you've done in the past. You CAN do this. Will you?? 2. I agree with Chat....nice advice! Lots of people are increasing their scores by 100 pts in a year -- and doing it legit. You should only use a credit counselor [never anyone who calls themselves repair] if you can't cover daily expenses without ccards. If you are in that boat, look for a NFCC member [google it]. 4. Yes....When long back i had faced the problem of credit repair I had contacted company name http://www.ezconsolidation.com and through them i was able to clear my debt within 2 years. Credit repair companies are the best for clearing your debt coz they are the experts in that field and they talk with your creditors and make settlement. But an advice to you....plz dont trust any non-profits org..they wud charge hidden fees from you..
